"Nissen by Night"  by Henry Kliner

A 16 km hike (approximately 10 miles) through lush west coast rain forest brings you to Nissen Bight located at the extreme northern tip of Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada. Preserved within Cape Scott provincial park, Nissen Bight is a perfect place to watch Grey whales feed while Osprey circle overhead. Nissen's isolation, combined with it's white sandy beaches and dramatic sunsets, makes it easy to imagine yourself stranded alone on a tropical island paradise.
